The S2000’s of Super Lap Battle - Special Attack carbon parts a popular choice!

The Time Attack scene in the states has been getting real exciting these days, events like Super Lap Battle at COTA being a big part of the equation. This 2023 event was undoubtedly the best yet, with records broken in every class, and an exciting Unlimited Class rivalry between the LYFE Motorsport R35 GTR and Feras Qartoumy’s high horsepower C6 Corvette.

In Time Attack, utilizing composite materials to save weight is a no-brainer! We were thrilled to see a couple of S2000’s lap around Circuit of the Americas over the weekend with our brand new carbon fiber offerings. The naturally aspirated Splin Mota S2K pictured above, focuses heavily on shaving weight with the goal of setting NA S2000 records, all while screaming at 9800 RPM.

Australian driver Brett Dickie flew over to get back behind the wheel of the Project Import S2000, and was more than happy to get more seat time and shake down the car before their next event at the Pikes Peak International Hill Climb! The team were content with their weekend efforts and will soon be making their voyage to Colorado to hopefully reach the summit, after their rookie-year run (2021) was impeded by snowy weather at the mountaintop. We’ll be sure to attend this year as well, with some fresh carbon parts should anything go array.
